+Eldrin failed an Athletics check to climb, and has [[unbound:rules:environment#Falling|fallen]] twenty meters.  He'd rather not take so much damage from that fall, and so uses his reaction to Avoid Falling Damage.  His Acrobatics is +2, so he rolls 2d10+2 and gets 15.   The Director rolls his falling damage (6d8) and gets 29 damage total.  Eldrin takes only 14 of this, thanks to his Acrobatics check.
