-The typical Goblin Soldier is employed on raids against Elven and Trollish settlements, or as guards for Goblin caravans.  They typically wield the Grak'tha, a nasty weapon with a long, slender blade.  Designed to be wielded easily in two hands or hurled at a foe, the Grak'tha is about halfway between spear and sword, and is a well-balanced, dangerous weapon.
