 All Fairies receive a +1 bonus to their Charisma. All Fairies receive a +1 bonus to their Charisma.
-===== Statistics =====

 +
 +===== Vulnerable to Cold Iron =====
 +
 +The ruinous touch of iron is anathema to the Fairies.  Whenever a Fairy is struck by a weapon that contains iron, they suffer one additional point of damage for each damage die rolled.  It is safe to assume that most weapons carry iron.

 ===== Kindred ===== ===== Kindred =====

 +There are eight common types of Fairy, scattered throughout the Realms.
 +
 +
 +==== Brownies ====
 +
 +Standing around a meter in height, but being quite slender, these mischievous folk boast long pointed ears and sharp noses.  They are known for their service to households and rural communities in Hildemar.  When treated well, they will help people out;  when treated poorly, they often abandon a community.  In particular, they view being offered clothing as a deep insult.
 +
 +Brownies suffer a -1 penalty to their Body, due to their small size, but gain a +1 bonus to both Dexterity and Education.  They gain a +2 bonus to Stealth skill checks and to their passive Stealth skill.  They start with eight stamina, and have a base speed of five.  They reduce any damage dice that they roll by one step
 +
 +==== Dryads ====
 +
 +Appearing as tall, willowy women standing usually over 180cm, Dryads have green skin and darker green hair.  They are spawned by the life-force of a tree, and if their tree is cut down, they will die.  They gain the Plant property in addition to the Fairy property.
 +
 +Dryads gain a +1 bonus to their Body, and start with ten stamina.  They have a speed of six.  They are commonly found in Aulonika, but some have been seen in Sarpentis.
 +
 +==== Hags ====
 +
 +One of the more malevolent fairies, Hags all appear as old, hideous women---even their men!  They are remarkably physically powerful, despite their appearance, gaining a +1 bonus to Body.  They start with ten stamina, and have a speed of seven.
 +
 +Hags are most commonly seen around Thessara.  Among the various types of fairies, they are the most likely to steal children and raise them as Changelings.
 +
 +==== Nymphs ====
 +
 +These aquatic fairies are found only in fresh water, most commonly in the rivers of Meridia and Sarpentis.  They resemble Elves in appearance and habits, but cannot stay out of water for very long.  For every ten minutes that they are out of the water, they take one point of damage that cannot be reduced by any means.  This damage can only be healed by submerging themselves.
 +
 +Nymphs gain a +1 bonus to their Foresight, and start with ten stamina.  They have a speed of four on land, but can swim at a speed of eight.  They can breathe underwater as easily as they can breathe air.  When submerged, a Nymph heals one point of damage every ten minutes, so long as they are still alive.
 +
 +==== Pixies ====
 +
 +These small, mischevious fairies are commonly found in Florentis and western Hildemar.  They stand no more than 30cm tall, with large wings that resemble those of a dragonfly, a butterfly or---for some more uncommon tribes---a moth.
 +
 +Pixies suffer a -2 penalty to their Body, but start with a +2 bonus to their Agility and a +2 bonus to all Stealth skill checks and their passive Stealth.  They have a speed of three, but their insectile wings allow them to fly at a speed of six.  They start with five stamina.  Pixies reduce their damage dice one step, and also inflict -1 points per damage die rolled in combat.
 +
 +==== Redcaps ====
 +
 +Known for their bloodstained caps and iron boots, these vicious fairies are found in northern Hildemar, around the Thuringan River.  They are exceedingly territorial, and will not hesitate to attack intruders.
 +
 +Redcaps gain a +1 bonus to their Agility.  They start with ten stamina and a speed of six.  They draw strength from their slain foes;  the higher the level of the Redcap, the brighter their red cap, and the more powerful their blows.  All Redcaps add their level to the damage that they inflict with their attacks.
 +
 +==== Selkies ====
 +
 +Found near the island of Ravennia, Selkies are seaborne fairies that can transform themselves into seals.  When in humanoid form, they are indistinguishable from humans, but always have greyish-black hair.  A Selkie must transform to seal form once per day, before dawn, and spend an hour in the sea in that form.  Failure to do so within 24 hours results in them taking one point of damage //per minute// until they do so.  This damage cannot be reduced by any means, and cannot be healed by any means other than natural healing.
 +
 +Selkies gain a +1 bonus to their Body, and start with ten stamina.  In their humanoid form, they have a speed of six.  In seal form, their speed on land is only two, but they have a swim speed of nine.  Transforming between seal and human form requires six seconds of concentration.
 +
 +==== Trolls ====
 +
 +Trolls are the largest, and least intelligent, of the fairies.  They are most commonly found in the mountains of Arviss.  All trolls suffer a -1 penalty to Education.  They also feature significant gender dimorphism.
 +
 +=== Male Troll ===
 +
 +A male Troll stands over two meters tall and weighs over 200 kilograms.  They start with fifteen stamina, and will have a speed of seven. Male Trolls will gain a +2 to their Body, but suffer a -1 penalty to their Agility. They increase the size of their damage dice one step.
 +
 +=== Female Troll ===
 +
 +Female Trolls can often pass for human women.  Large, not particularly attractive human women, but human nonetheless.  They gain a +1 bonus to their Body, and start with fifteen stamina and a speed of six.  They are more likely to be spellcasters than warriors.
